Software Engineer III - Genomics

Collaborate with Product Management, Bioinformatics, Engineering, and R&D teams to design, develop and deliver high quality, scalable, and robust software tools for processing molecular genomics data.

Analyze software requirements; implements design plans, reviews unit tests; documents software development; monitors status of development.

Build and enhance molecular data processing pipelines and workflows, ensuring portability across both on-premises high-performance computing and cloud environments.

Work in Linux environment including HPC system and AWS.

Advocate best practices, including Agile methodologies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, bioinformatics, data science or applicable engineering or science discipline. (Required).

3+ years of experience in designing, developing, testing and deploying software applications/systems using proven or emerging technologies in a variety of environments.

2+ years of experience in HPC and/or AWS cloud computing.

2+ years of experience with container (Docker, ECS, EKS), serverless (Lambda).

Proficiency in Python (or similar object-oriented programming language).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Strong background in statistics and familiarity with genomics.

Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment is preferred.

This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
