Join our fast-paced agile teams on the leading edge of technology.Job Summary: This is your opportunity to join the Missile Defense Radar Software Team in Woburn, Massachusetts as a Section Leader. The Missile Defense Radar Software Department Section Leader will provide guidance and management to a section of 15 to 20 Engineers. The candidate will act as a key leader and mentor in the department, employing leadership, presence and influence skills while fostering teamwork and interdependent execution. The job location for this opportunity is in Woburn, Massachusetts.The Missile Defense Radar Software Department mission is to provide world class Radar Software for our customer's wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems. Responsible for the sustainment, assessment, and development of the section
Ensure section members adhere to policy, vision, values, and goals
Communications flow-down to the section
Performance development including collecting and providing performance feedback to section members.
Goal development with section members
Career and job assignment mentoring
Technical management in software development, integration, or test.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
8+ years’ experience in technical software design and development on defense software development programs OR in absence of a degree, 14 years of experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience
Experience in software development using C, C, or Ada
Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably using the Agile Scrum or Kanban framework
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Software Engineering
Experience in functional, team or program leadership role
Strong mentoring skills, both technically and professionally

Six Sigma, CORE, EVMS, Software Project Management Certification and PMX certifications
