Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef or a semi retired Executive Chef to join our culinary team. As the second-in-command in the kitchen, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality food preparation, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and upholding the standards of our establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Create and prepare daily specials from scratch.
Prepare soups and sauces from scratch.
Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency in presentation and taste.
Manage and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
Collaborate on menu planning and recipe development.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, complying with health regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Creativity and passion for food and hospitality.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
