LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY, NO 3RD PARTY As a member of the Production Support group, Our Client seeks a Senior Analyst to help manage, oversee, maintain and enhance the production environments for Investment (Alpha) Research, Portfolio Construction, and Middle & Back-Office teams. This team works together to ensure that regularly running tasks and underlying data are “trade-ready” as needed each day, while incrementally improving the reliability and resilience of data, tasks and systems.The successful candidate will show demonstrated experience and success supporting, maintaining and enhancing software systems at scale. Experience and understanding of current systems (Python, R, and SQL) and related tools is necessary. Additional ability and capacity to assess other software systems and processes that will improve the overall environment is strongly preferred. Individual needs to be independent, communicative, and mature to work in ad hoc ways in a fast-paced environment. Overall background and academic foundation should reflect understanding of investment markets and best software engineering practices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Improve efficiencies to make an impactful contribution to the evolution of the equity & Multi-asset, and Middle & Back-office production environments and research platforms.
  • Strong understanding of task logging & audit, problem diagnosis and restart capabilities.
  • Incorporate framework and procedures to maximize data quality confidence, normalization, and transparency.
  • Provide or acquire an expertise of various Investment, Equity & Multi-asset data vendors.
  • Maintain and enhance data science tools, systems, and DevOps & CI/CD processes.
  • Participate in the defining and promoting of best practices.
  • Evaluate and integrate 3rd party software packages and tools.

Essential Skills, Experience and Background:
  • Software engineering with at least 5-10 years of investment management experience.
  • Experience supporting production investment env. for at least 3-5 years is a must.
  • Strong or growing knowledge of Python and SQL is a requirement.
  • Keen interest in leaning new languages & environments would be valued.
  • Must have knowledge of software engineering design patterns and principles.
  • BS/MS in computer science, mathematics, statistics or a related field is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a fluid hands-on environment.
  • Must have a “Can do!” attitude, while being inherently diligent & curious, as well.
  • Ability to generate innovative tactical solutions in stressed situations is highly valued.
