Description We are in the process of recruiting a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Marblehead, Massachusetts. This role involves various financial operations within our industry and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for handling tasks such as assisting with audit support, managing fixed assets, handling accruals, and conducting vendor outreach.Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and execution of audit support for the first year Manage and track fixed assets, ensuring accurate recording and reporting Handle accruals, ensuring they are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards Conduct vendor outreach, establishing and maintaining positive relationships Utilize skills in Annual External Audit, Audit - Financial, Audit - Operational to ensure efficient operation of all financial functions Execute roll forwards, ensuring all financial data is up to date and accurate Work closely with other team members to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly and efficiently. Requirements Applicant must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant Proficiency in conducting Annual External Audit is required Demonstrated experience in Audit - Financial and Audit - Operational is necessary Applicant should hold a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is expected Strong knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations is required Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion is necessary Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is essential Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is expected Experience with accounting software and databases is necessary Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is preferred.
