Description We are actively searching for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the nonprofit industry. As a Sr. Accountant, you will mainly focus on general ledger, accounts payable, and account reconciliations. This role also entails supervising the accounts payable staff and assisting the team during a medical leave. This position does require full time onsite commitment Monday- Friday 9am-5pm at their Roxbury, MA office; competitive compensation provided. Responsibilities: Supervising the accounts payable staff to ensure efficiency and accuracy Assisting the team during a medical leave for their AMG to ensure smooth operations Maintaining a focus on the general ledger to ensure accurate financial data Managing accounts payable tasks to ensure all financial obligations are met promptly Conducting account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data Utilizing business software to manage and analyze financial data Performing month end close activities to finalize accounting records Handling journal entries to document financial transactions Undertaking balance sheet and bank reconciliations to guarantee accuracy in financial statements.Requirements The candidate should have strong skills in Account Reconciliation, demonstrating an ability to detect and resolve discrepancies in financial records. Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data. Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are addressed promptly. Must have a solid understanding of General Ledger operations, with the ability to maintain and manage all financial records. Experience in preparing and recording Journal Entries is essential, with a focus on accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Familiarity with Month End Close processes, demonstrating the ability to finalize financial records for each accounting period. Proficiency in using Dynamics SL is required, demonstrating the ability to manage financial data and generate reports.
