Description Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting operations for multiple restaurant locations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries while ensuring accurate and timely processing of all transactions.
Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and perform variance analysis.
Maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts to ensure their accuracy.
Manage the monthly end close process; review and confirm the accuracy of all financial data.
Prepare financial statements and tax-related reports for both internal and external uses, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Manage ongoing tax compliance, including scheduled tax payments and tax return filings.
Implement and maintain strict internal control processes to mitigate risk and safeguard the company's assets.
Participate in financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analyses, and the development of financial models.
Collaborate with the auditing team on the preliminary year-end audit.
Adapting and implementing financial systems, including software upgrades, while utilizing QuickBooks for functionality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Requirements
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, although an advanced degree such as an MBA or CPA is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting or finance, preferably with experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Extensive experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software.
Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with diverse groups, including restaurant staff and external vendors.
The ability to lead, inspire, and work as part of a team.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality.
