You will be a

Sr Advanced Systems Administration Specialist for a diverse system of both physical & virtual servers & workstations. You'll serve as a front-line interface to users with technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Your duties may include installing new software, troubleshooting issues, working with Active Directory for account administration, Exchange mail server, SharePoint server, Group Policy, DNS, WSUS and training users. You'll also be responsible for the day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and building, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network related interfaces on servers. You will also be responsible for all ConMon and compliance activities for servers & workstations. You'll perform OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and virtual servers' performance using monitoring tools. You will be expected apply STIG's, run SCAP and/or Nessus scans.

Knowledge of the following will be extremely beneficial: LINUX, Windows Server 2016/ 2019, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, WSUS, Exchange, SharePoint, Nessus, SCAP, STIG compliance, Splunk and various software products such as Adobe, Skype, etc.

What you bring to the table:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced understanding of server based operating systems
  • Subject matter expert (SME) with the ability to mentor others on administrating the server environment
  • Enhanced troubleshooting skills within the server OS as well as both networking and storage technologies
  • Hands-on experience developing, deploying and supporting large-scale enterprise server solutions
  • Design, planning, implementation, monitoring, administering and maintaining computer networks
  • Solid understanding of server based operating systems
  • Windows Server 2106/2019, Windows 10/11
  • Linux including RHEL/CentOS, specifically secure environments. Virtualized and bare metal
  • Infrastructure aspects of Linux related to authentication, policy, scanning, logging, storage
  • Cisco, Taclanes, WANs, LANs, Firewalls, switches and routers
  • Enhanced troubleshooting skills within the server OS as well as both networking and storage technologies
  • Working knowledge to create and run scripts to automate repetitive processes
  • Understanding of Splunk server setup and maintenance.
  • Experience with ConMon and compliance activities for servers & workstations

Target salary range: USD $130,000.00/Yr. - USD $142,500.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
