This Sr Clinical Mobility Analyst will be responsible for:
  • Serves as a subject-matter expert with deep knowledge of the core the clinical communication, collaboration, and mobility (CCC&M) platform stack, which comprise of desktop and mobile applications, middleware integration technology and a broad array of medical devices and patient monitors. Work typically focuses on multiple areas of a broad process that integrates the CCC&M platform with the Epic EMR.
  • Engages internal and external subject-matter experts in operations to understand current and anticipated operational needs. Conducts extensive technology and operations analyses to identify root causes of complex problems - which are often unclear and/or significantly involve other products (external to BCH or difficult to access). Identifies implications, brainstorms solutions, and assesses the best option among many.
  • Participates in analyzing tickets and requests to identify need for project-based work (i.e., enhancement, system modifications, deviations from Epic Foundation). Typically conducts initial scoping of more complex requests. Leads or investigates and resolves complex tickets or requests that: cross supported applications, encompass a broader process (e.g., alarm routing and RTLS logic.) and/or are difficult to initially define.
  • Performs advanced configuration or customization, as necessary, to address business or clinical needs. Modifies builds incorporating significant edits, whole new functionality, numerous cross-application integrations, complex logic (e.g., whole alarm routing hierarchy), creation of new templates and standards (e.g., new user provisioning mechanisms), etc.
  • Manages the implementation of supported core CCC&M application and middleware changes with third party vendors and/or internal proprietary applications to ensure integration. Researches and analyzes the functionality of vendor and internally developed applications. Assesses integration requirements for the supported core CCC&M application(s) to meet the needs of the project, recommending changes or customizations to the vendor application and other integration elements as necessary. Coordinates CCC&M integration with Epic and non-Epic applications with the appropriate IT team in conjunction with vendor support. Maintains, upgrades and tests associated third party integrations.
  • Participates in upgrades by owning release notes that impact multiple areas within the supported applications and that require coordination across teams.
  • Participates in presentations or updates to leadership. Engages in ongoing communications with multiple teams related to supported application and operational processes given broader scope and significant integration work.
  • May develop or provide substantive input to training curriculum for online learning or in-person instruction. Regularly obtains feedback from super-users and their managers.
  • As a subject matter expert, provides feedback to management on policies, procedures, and best practices particularly as these may impact the supported application(s) and operational areas.
  • Professional development. May present at national forums to discuss CCC&M integration within the EPIC EMR (i.e., Epic XGM - Expert Group Meeting, Epic UGM Support - User Group Meeting). Attends Epic related conferences, trainings at Epic for additional certifications, or internal BCH offerings
In order to qualify, you must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Epic certification in Mobility solution
  • 4 years of related experience plus 2 years of experience directly involved in CCC&M application support and/or implementation performing builds in the targeted application(s). Demonstrated experience performing moderately complex builds.
  • Subject matter expert in CCC&M platform supported.
  • Subject matter (domain) expertise in Epic Mobility solution application
