Our talented team of physician and pharmacist editors, technologists, and product visionaries collaborate to provide advanced clinical decision support solutions that measurably improve clinical effectiveness by helping healthcare professionals provide optimal care for their patients.Reporting to the Clinical Effectiveness Business Transformation Director the Database Developer/Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data migration/transformation initiatives related to all CE Business Systems projects. This is an exciting opportunity to help transform the business systems of a leading healthcare information technology company.Responsibilities:- Design, develop and manage end-to-end data integrations, migrations, conversions, and modeling in support of business transformation initiatives.
- Design and develop integration solutions between cloud and custom, on-premises applications, and sunset existing point-to-point integrations
- Identify and implement internal controls and technological improvements to data and information processing systems
- Define and execute detailed data migration strategies and plans including risk identification, risk mitigation, and dependencies.
- Perform source system data analysis and profiling in order to manage source to target data mappings.
- Work with other members of the Business Transformation team, key stakeholders, and system integration partners through the lifecycle.
- Identify and communicate the data migration impact of all proposed changes to team members and key stakeholders.
- Support deployment of solution cut-over planning and execution activities.
- Own the quality of the migrated data and the validity of the migration processes and operations.
- Recommend tools for the support of data migrations.
- Provide training as well as evaluate and make recommendations for future improvements.
- 5+ years of experience in database development, design, and analysis
- 5+ years of Data integration experience with Dell Boomi or equivalent ETL tool (Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, SSIS, or Ab Initio)
- Experience with Oracle SQL query design, query optimization, troubleshooting, stored procedure development, or equivalent database management system
- Hands-on Experience with API architecture and design
- Understanding and demonstrated ability to build solutions using RESTful API endpoints and web services as destination and/or source
- Experience with object-oriented programming in Groovy and/or Java
- Data Governance experience or equivalent data-related programs is preferred (especially Oracle Database)
- Prior experience on completed large-scale data migration projects is a big plus
- NetSuite experience is a big plus
- Highly effective working in a team as well as working independently
- Analytical thinker that is effective at understanding big picture problems and developing scalable as well as flexible solutions
- Task-focused with the ability to execute tasks on time without distraction
- Able to work within an agile team environment to deliver common team projects and goals
- Demonstrably skilled at oral and written communications
- Document/update relevant knowledge materials to ensure peers have up-to-date knowledge on the tools and migration processes
