You will be responsible for helping to manage our data analytics team’s IT infrastructure to meet top-level business objectives and facilitate an environment of efficient administrative operations.Discover Impactful Work:We are looking for a candidate with technical expertise in data solutions, as well as knowledge of Operations (Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, etc). This role is vital for developing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support business operations and analytics. The candidate must be hands-on and actively involved in technical tasks.A Day in the Life:This role involves leading a dedicated team, managing complex data projects, and ensuring the flawless execution of data strategies. It requires balancing hands-on technical tasks with strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement.Leadership & Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers, software developers, and data mapping experts, encouraging a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Develop and implement strategies for data engineering that align with the company’s goals and objectives.

Coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of team members.

Understand and manage developers for full stack application development, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end components.

Data Infrastructure & Architecture:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines and architectures.

Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Collaborate with other departments to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions.

Be hands-on in coding, debugging, and optimizing data engineering processes as needed.

Project Management:

Manage multiple data solutions projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business priorities.

Apply project management tools and methodologies to track progress and report on project status to collaborators.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with data solutions projects.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends in data engineering.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve data processing efficiency and quality.

Incorporate proven methods in data engineering, which encompass coding standards, testing procedures, and documentation practices.

Keys to Success:A successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in leading data engineering teams, strictly manage project timelines, and successfully implement innovative solutions that compete globally.Education

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

Experience

7+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Experience with data storage technologies (relational databases, data lakes, data warehouses) and big data technologies (Databricks, Spark, Unity Catalog).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Established skills in building and supervising large-scale data infrastructure and ETL processes.

Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Visual Basic, Python, C#, SQL, etc.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure - Fabric) and related services.

Demonstrated ability to understand and manage developers for full stack application development.

Ability to be hands-on and actively participate in technical tasks.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical approach.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
