Formulates the upstream product strategy for the assigned portfolio. Collects and analysis market information and defines existing market target groups. Formulates the specification of new products based on available technology, components and existing market situation in order to have new products available on short term. Translates a general product plan into clear detailed product specifications for development. Guides the project team in the execution phase of the PCP. Drives the market introduction of the new product.

You are responsible for

  • Develop and maintain a needs-based customer segmentation for your solution across global markets (supported by Market Intelligence)
  • Help define product portfolio strategy that supports growth, product evolution, customer satisfaction
  • Work across R&D, Services and Operations to develop and deliver integrated offerings that meet the needs of priority customer segments and improve patient care delivery
  • Own product pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities
  • Work with Field Marketing to enable the market sales teams (e.g., conduct presentations ahead of new product launch)
  • Conduct customer executive presentations, coordinated as part of sales campaigns with priority customers
  • Own product pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities

You are a part of

Philip's Hospital Patient Monitoring Business, and report to the Head of Product Marketing, Medical Consumables & Sensors. In this role you will work cross functionally with other marketing functions, R&D, and the team of Product Managers.

To succeed in this role, you'll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field; MBA preferred
  • 7 + years in marketing, product development or related field
  • A clinical background and/or strong experience and knowledge of clinical measurements and their application is strongly preferred (e.g. blood pressure, cardiac output, ECG, temperature, etc.)
  • Must have experience in Medical device industry, with preference for experience with critical care and patient monitoring (or related) products and solutions
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and P&L experience
  • Prior experience successfully working with Field marketing/marketing support, regulatory, supply chains, procurement or business support functions (these are shared at the BG level)
  • Operating performance or resource deployment of markets (e.g., tactical pricing, account priorities)
  • Expertise in customer segments and the national healthcare systems. Understanding the dynamics of capital goods marketing and the dynamics of "installed base" market.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong value propositions to focus product development on customer needs
