Sr. QA Analyst

Location: Framingham, MA (work from home to start but will become hybrid at some point). Must be local to the area to be considered

Rate: 60-70/hr W2 OR C2C (no sponsorship available)

POSITION SUMMARY: SR QA Analyst would be involved in the entire software development lifecycle to ensure the quality of final products. S/He works closely with Project Managers/Scrum Masters, BAs, Development Teams, business partners, QA Lead and vendor partners to understand the technology solutions and testing scope designed and implemented by IT and/or vendor partners. The QA Analyst is ultimately accountable for testing program success and ensuring that all FDA QA requirements are met.

PRIMARY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Participate in requirement and technical design document reviews to provide feedback and story points2. Work with QA Lead to support creation of detailed test plans.3. Troubleshoot and triage issues. Work with multiple teams to determine root causes.4. Identify discrepancies, record, document thoroughly and track defects.5. Review test results and evaluate for conformance to design.6. Communicate test results and feedback with QA Lead and stakeholders.7. Perform thorough regression testing post code deployment and defect fix.8. Compile test cases and performing system, integration, and end to end testing on projects.9. Estimate level of effort needed to test and complete a task.10. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.11. Work with internal teams to identify system requirements.12. Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect density and open defect counts.13. Ability to work in an agile and waterfall/watergile environment.14. Create new and update existing QA documentation.15. Work closely with Development, Business Analysts and Product Owners to ensure project success.16. Work with peers in diverse geographical locations.17. Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.18. Participate in pre- and post-release testing activities.

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:1. Eight + years of IT quality assurance and testing experience.2. Eight + years of experience in creating and executing test scripts; knowledge of software testing methodologies.3. Good understanding of SDLC and QA concepts, metrics analysis, methodologies, and documentations standards.4. Experience working with geographically diverse teams.5. Solid experience with JIRA and Zephyr.6. Experience with agile and waterfall/watergile methodologies.7. Experience in tools such as SOAP UI and Postman.8. Experience with commerce and ERP solutions.9. Experience with test Automation and tools, preferably Selenium experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:1. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.2. Hands on experience in writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases.3. Hands on experience with both white box and black box testing.4. Hands on experience with test automation5. Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.6. Strong data analysis, data verification and proven problem-solving skills.7. Experience working in an agile/scrum/waterfall development process.8. Competency in using all processes and tools required to perform required duties and tasks. JIRA/Zephyr required.9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline
