Overview of FSX - Mutual Fund Transfer Agent: FSX provides systematic solutions centered on a mainframe platform for our clients in the mutual fund transfer agency industry. We build, maintain and support a full suite of in-house developed systems covering order processing, trading, clearance and settlement, books and records, reporting and regulatory systems. We are currently recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst to work in our Westborough location.

Overview of Position: Global TA Client Onboarding. Experience (8-10 years) with Business Systems Analysis on Mainframe based Waterfall environments. Experience within mutual fund knowledge, preferably with new client onboarding. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work well independently. Develop business requirement documents, functional requirements, test strategies, user documentation. Ability to translate data elements from another system and map them to the FSX system as part of a onboarding projects. Confidently and effectively communicate to our clients on deliverables and requirements and general updates. Act as a liaison between developers and business teams. Able to support a variety of assignments such as: complex, scalable and robust solutions to meet our client-s needs.

Appropriate candidates will possess the following:

Experience (8-10 years) with Business Systems Analysis on Mainframe based Waterfall environments.
Experience within mutual fund knowledge, preferably with new client onboarding.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work well independently.
Develop business requirement documents, functional requirements, test strategies, user documentation.
Confidently and effectively communicate to our clients on deliverables and requirements and general updates.
Act as a liaison between developers and business teams.
Able to support a variety of assignments such as: complex, scalable and robust solutions to meet our client-s needs.
Effective communication skills, work alongside and collaborate across technology and business teams.
Clear understanding and commitment to development and quality standards. Must Have: • Experience and commitment to a full SDLC culture in a Waterfall environment. • Experience within mutual fund knowledge, preferably with new client onboarding. • Experience defining field mapping analysis. Desirable: • Insync; TSO; Business Objects Reporting; Microsoft Suite of Products

Determines technical/non-functional requirements, solves problems and technical challenges; by analyzing and designing software solutions including data retention and integration; recommends system controls, protocols and best practice. Ensures quality gates are met for software development deliverables, including code reviews, performance and security principles. Leads system rationalization, vendor product installation, reverse engineering and builds technical plans. Validates solutions by testing results. May lead virtual teams, works individually or as part of a team. Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon's standard development methodology. Ensure testing, implementation and documentation of solution. Ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved. Ensures data retention policies are adhered to. Ensures permit to design, build and operate gates are appropriately met Works with vendors and their solutions to ensure robust delivery Provides input into project plans and oversees technical deliverables. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and software components. Conducts analysis of technical/non-functional requirements. Provides oversight of quality gates for software development deliverables. Leads virtual teams and provides mentoring and coaching to junior roles Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions.

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required 8-10 years of experience needed; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
