Staff Accountant

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the non-profit industry, based out of Milford, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of accounting duties, such as processing general ledger entries, handling transactional accounting tasks, and maintaining accurate customer records. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Handle the processing of general ledger entries Conduct transactional accounting tasks as required Maintain precise customer credit records Work with various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Ensure accurate processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Perform bank reconciliations as part of regular duties Take charge of journal entries and month-end close processes Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Proficient in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries. Familiarity with Month End Close procedures. Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Ability to work in a team-oriented, non-profit environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Detail-oriented and ability to multitask. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge in the field of accounting. Exceptional numerical proficiency and accuracy in work.
