Solidus is searching for a System Administrator to work with a team in support of various cutting-edge projects for undersea systems as well as daily operational IT and cyber security tasks. The candidate will support the IT activities in the group for both classified and unclassified processing systems. The candidate must be a motivated self-starter with a strong ability to quickly learn new technologies and techniques on the job. This is a 100% on-site position.

Responsibilities: - Installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of computer workstations, servers and network infrastructure - Installation and maintenance of commercial software - Handling technical support requests for hardware and software issues - Automation of operational tasks - Managing and maintaining computer/IT supplies and spares - Specifying and ordering new computer systems and supplies - Documentation of IT procedures - Support for security procedures - IT support for laboratory and field experiments, including field deployments - General User Desktop support

Requirements: - ship and an Active Secret Clearance - BS and 2 years minimum relevant experience - Possess or have the ability to obtain security+ certification

Candidates should have existing competence in, and be able to demonstrate experience with, the following key technologies: - Windows, and Linux operating systems in desktop and server environments - Scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl - Rackmount and desktop x86-based computer hardware - Local- and Wide-Area Network design, including firewall and router configuration - Virtualization platforms such VMware ESX and VMware Workstation - Storage architectures including RAID, SAN, and NAS
