LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY, NO 3RD PARTYThe Technical Business Analyst will work as a member of the Technology team within the Research and Technology Group and will be responsible for working with the Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner to manage and fulfill stakeholder requests, document requirements and workflows, provide daily business support, facilitate projects and enhance overall user experience.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and resolve application production issues and act as first level of support for business user issues and questions
  • Fulfill ad hoc data requests, develop SQL queries and views, and handle monthly/weekly reporting tasks.
  • Document business processes and translate Calvert business needs into technological requirements.
  • Work with the Technology team to evaluate solutions and make objective recommendations for process improvements.
  • Work with Technology group to ensure data from external data scientist vendor is loaded and available.
  • Establish FactSet data feeds and ensure data is available and accessible for business users.
  • Assist with defining technical requirements, and QA testing.
  • Provide backup support for Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a business analyst working in collaboration with software development.
  • Affinity for technical writing and presenting – ability to formally document requirements, reach agreements with others, and explain detailed requirements to others as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in both formal and informal contexts in a fashion tailored for the audience.
  • Practical understanding of relational database design and thorough familiarity with SQL server programming using T-SQL.
  • Strong data and process analysis skills
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction and guidance from manager.
  • Highly skilled in incorporating successful interviewing, facilitation, and documentation techniques within a project.
  • Strong educational background in an analytical discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Strong client service skills
  • Ability to deliver under stress in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting investment data
  • Methodical and attention to details

Desired Skills:
  • Strong understanding of Investment Data and Investment Management industry
  • Knowledge of ESG business.
