Robert Half is supporting a local client in the Banking industry who needs a

Systems Engineer to join the team. You will be a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure in this Systems Engineer position. Candidates must reside in the following states:

CT, FL, ME, MA, NH, NY (except NYC), RI, SC, VT

Successful candidates will have equal experience in both Windows and Linux OS. VMware and Azure is also required.

How you will make an impact

- Conduct and keep an eye on all installed systems and infrastructure

- Take part in the design of information and operational support systems

- Write down and keep up custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

- Keep an eye on and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, discern possible solutions, and concur with developers to put into practice those fixes

- Band together with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

- Consistently deliver the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools

- Manage redundancy strategies, security, and backup

- Supply 2nd and 3rd level support

Requirements

- Candidates with proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems will be the best fit for this position

- Applicants should have experience with automation software

- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server

- Command of Linux

- PowerShell Scripting experience

- Adeptness in Python Scripting
