Job Title:Systems Software Engineer Intern at Vertica
Job Description: Vertica provides a state-of-the-art Big Data Analytics platform that handles petabytes of data. It is a commercially successful, high-performance , distributed database. We build tools that support many different use cases , being flexible enough to be used for many applications. In this position, you would work on the core query engine components of Vertica, building features, improving performance, and fixing bugs. Write high-performance Ccode! Figure out tricky concurrent algorithms! Create designs that will support parallelism and concurrency! The ideal candidate has knowledge of (bold items required) - C/C
- Multi-threading
- Essential algorithms and data structures Excellent technical communication
- SQL
- Distributed systems
- Database internals.
