Tax Accountant

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Accountant in Ludlow, Massachusetts, 01056, United States. The Tax Accountant will be instrumental in managing and preparing tax returns, ensuring regulatory compliance, and offering strategic tax planning and advisory services. This role is pivotal in our finance team and requires someone with a high level of proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Bookkeeping Functions, Compliance, and Customer Service.Responsibilities: Preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses Ensuring adherence to tax regulations and laws, including staying updated on changes in tax legislation Providing accurate and timely tax advice through tax research and analysis Assisting with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance Organizing and maintaining tax records, supporting documentation, and correspondence Managing tax audits and responding to inquiries from tax authorities Collaborating with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve tax-related issues Offering guidance and training on tax-related matters to clients or team members Preparing and filing various tax forms and reports accurately and on time Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with CaseWare Proficiency in CCH ProSystem Fx Experience with CCH Sales Tax Solid understanding of Accounting Functions Proficiency in Auditing Familiarity with Bookkeeping Functions Strong knowledge of Compliance regulations Excellent Customer Service skills.
