Description We are seeking a Tax Advisor to join our team located in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Tax Advisor, you will play a crucial role in managing the tax preparation process for our high-value individual, fiduciary, and foundation tax clients. This role also involves regular client interactions, managing tax strategies, and working collaboratively with other teams within our organization. Responsibilities: Manage the comprehensive preparation of tax returns for individual, fiduciary, and foundation tax clients. Handle confidential information delicately and professionally. Review peers' work for accuracy, ensuring all tax returns are completed correctly. Prepare Foundation 990-PF returns in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Consult with clients on financial and tax strategies, providing expert advice and solutions. Manage quarterly estimated tax payments for assigned accounts. Collaborate with other teams, such as General Counsel and Trust Administration, to identify taxable events with potential legal implications. Contribute to department-wide initiatives, providing input and ideas for improvement. Identify tax planning opportunities to optimize client's tax positions. Utilize various software applications for tax processes to ensure efficient workflow and optimal use of technology. Possess and apply skills in Fiduciary Tax and Gift Tax to daily tasks and client interactions. Requirements Possess a deep understanding of Fiduciary Tax Proficient in dealing with Gift Tax matters Ability to provide accurate tax advice to clients, based on their unique situations Capable of staying updated with the latest tax regulations and laws Proficient in using tax software and applications Excellent communication skills to explain tax strategies to clients Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex tax-related issues High ethical standards to maintain client confidentiality Ability to work under pressure during tax season Relevant certification or degree in tax, accounting, finance, or related field Proven experience in a similar role as a Tax Advisor.
