Test Engineer

This position is 70-80% onsite and has a little bit of remote capability. The person should be flexible to be onsite when required for testing. Candidate must be local to Lexington at the start of the position.

Clearance: Clearable or currently cleared - Contractor must obtain an Interim Clearance prior to starting - Interim clearance is sufficient for start however candidate should be willing to and be prepared to obtain and maintain a TS clearance after starting the project.

-The team will look at a recent graduate as long as they have had applicable experience through internships, summer jobs, hands on coursework, etc. More experienced candidates are also fine.

Group/ Need Description:

The Systems Engineering Group supports requirements development, integration, test, and verification to prototype systems developed at the Laboratory. This group is in need of an Engineer III for development and operation of integration and test activities, including during thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing.

Description:

Work individually and with small teams developing and executing sub-system and system level tests for verification and validation.

Support test execution during Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) testing, including some evening, night, and weekend test shifts

Required Skills:

Hardware/Software Integration & Test experience

Performing TVAC or similar testing on hardware/software systems

Good communication and team skills

Ability to work independently

Software/applications: Windows, Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills:

Experience with MBSE (model based systems engineering)

Experience with Labview or other test infrastructure control software.

Experience editing, modifying, and implementing test controls in Labview.

Experience with flight hardware (space or airborne systems).

Experience developing test procedures

Education: Bachelor's Degree
