Traffic Control/Flagger

We are looking for Traffic Safety Flaggers in the Greater Worcester area for the upcoming construction season. All State Flagging is a Massachusetts-based, certified flagging and traffic control company serving New England. Our traffic control flaggers meet the statutory requirements of each state to engage in worksite flagging services.

Role Description

This is a per diem job for a Traffic Safety Flagger. The Traffic Safety Flagger will be responsible for controlling traffic and ensuring the safety of workers and pedestrians in a work zone. The Traffic Safety Flagger will communicate with drivers and construction personnel using hand and Stop/Slow Paddle, and may also need to control the flow of traffic with devices such as cones, barricades, and temporary lights. We supply all PPE/uniforms.

Qualifications

Minimum 18 years old

First Aid or CPR Certified

Traffic Control and Road Safety skills

Effective Communication skills

Knowledge of Road Construction safety regulations and procedures

Training and Certification in Flagging and Traffic Control (ATSSA certification preferred)

Excellent vision and hearing

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods of time

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is a plus

Prior experience as a Traffic Safety Flagger is a plus

The New England Flagging is conducting a certification course on 3/5/24 from 6 to 10pm at the Anna Maria College, Founders Hall, Room 117, 50 Sunset Lane, Paxton, MA(see second picture above).
