AECOM is seeking a Utility Coordinator in Massachusetts.  In this role, you will work on complex coordination of utility relocation and adjustments on infrastructure projects. Joining an organization that values teamwork,   AECOM can offer collaboratetion with talented colleagues, learn from diverse perspectives, and contribute to meaningful projects.This position will require travel to project sites.  JOB SUMMARY:The Utility Coordinator will coordinate utility work between various clients (DOT/County/Private), contractors and third-party utilities.  Develops, builds, and maintains a positive and productive relationship with third-party utilities. Works with the client to establish priorities, monitor progress and ensure compliance with the client’s goals and requirements. Participate in utility and roadway meetings to promote issue resolution, prepare status reports, develop and maintain project tracking systems for issues and resolutions, and address utility or roadway needs in a timely manner.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include administration of all aspects of the utility coordination process including the following:Providing utility coordination services for multiple projects with tight design and or construction schedules throughout the stateActing as liaison between engineers, contractors, governmental agencies, utility agencies/owners and the public to resolve utility conflictsOversee and provide guidance to utility coordinators and design consultants for utility, roadway, and railroad coordination effortsCoordinate with MassDOT roadway design, right-of-way, survey, construction, and maintenance departmentsConducting utility coordination meetings, documenting meeting minutes, and maintaining files of all activities for each utility agencyScheduling and attend office, field, and Teams meetings with utility agency ownersPerforming follow-up of meeting action items to assure effective coordination resultsCommunicating the status of coordination activities via emails, letters, and telephone to keep project team informedClearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writingLeading and assisting with preparation of contingency plans for unplanned utility eventsProviding schedule oversight for utility work integrated with the construction scheduleReview MassDOT utility permit applications and plansNegotiate design consultant scope and staff hours
