Covenant Health is seeking a compassionate and visionary Vice President of Mission Integration to lead the integration of our Catholic mission, values, and heritage across our healthcare system which includes acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, provider practices and corporate entities. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement mission integration strategies, initiatives, and formation that promote the distinctions of Catholic healthcare as a ministry.

Mission and Values Champion: Promote continuous learning on topics relevant to Catholic identity, including Sponsorship and Governance, Catholic Social Teaching, Ethical and Religious Directives, Spirituality, Vocation and Discernment.

Keeper of the Culture: Serve as a role model and guide to leaders, helping them understand and align their roles with our Catholic healthcare mission, vision and values.

Pastoral/Spiritual Care: Oversee pastoral care services, ensuring compassionate spiritual care is available to all in our care.

Ethics Advocacy: Oversee the ethics program, including consultations, education, and policy review, to ensure understanding of and compliance with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.

Collaboration: Build strong relationships with sponsoring congregations, dioceses, and other Catholic healthcare organizations to promote mission-driven outcomes.

Community Focus: Advocate for those impacted by poverty and marginalization, ensuring our mission to care for all is at the forefront.

Leadership Development: Recruit, supervise, and mentor staff across Covenant Health to strengthen organizational identity and mission integration.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Master’s degree in pastoral ministry, theology, spirituality, or a related field.

Clinical experience or degree in behavioral sciences preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in mission integration within Catholic healthcare or a similar field.

Experience in ethics consultation and healthcare mission leadership strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

Deep understanding of Catholic healthcare values, ethical principles, and spiritual dimensions of healing.

Proven success in implementing mission-driven initiatives in healthcare or similar environments.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with a diverse audience.

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
