Workday Project Manager

Description:3 months. Remote.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, oversee, and direct tasks on project plan for the implementation of Workday Human Capital software
  • Lead, oversee, and ensure successful delivery and management of projects within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints that may require dynamic change management
  • Understand and apply Workday methodologies
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks
  • Evaluate project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations, and suitable process for accomplishing projects
  • Ensure project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives
  • Ensure project is delivered on-time and on-budget
  • Present at meetings as needed
  • Conduct risk assessment and implement mitigation plans
  • Communicate with project staff to outline work plan
  • Institute work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations, or phases, and arrange for recruitment/assignment of personnel
  • Ensure project activities are completed on-time
  • Employ project communication and training plan
  • Monitor project activities to ensure currency, quality, and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the enterprise
  • Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project personnel
  • Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation
  • Other duties as required

Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
  • At least 5 years of related IT experience
  • At least 3 years of business unit experience
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Workday Project Manager with Workday implementation
  • Current Workday HCM certification or Workday Project Manager certification
  • PM training and certification a huge plus
  • Experience as a project manager or general business manager
  • Hands on experience managing an implementation and driving activities
  • Experience leading and managing cross functional and technical teams
  • Familiarity and experience with project management methodologies (PMI, agile)
  • Experience with project planning tools including Jira and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to influence and negotiate resources
  • Effective remote team management skills
  • Strong vendor management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
