Accountant

Description We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in Bingham Farms, Michigan. The role involves a wide range of accounting duties, from accounts payable and receivable to general ledger maintenance and reconciliations. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive accounting tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable management Maintain the general ledger and ensure its accuracy Prepare and record journal entries in a timely and efficient manner Manage account reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved Perform month-end close procedures effectively Utilize Yardi software for various accounting tasks Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary Ensure all financial records are up-to-date and comply with statutory regulations. Requirements Must possess proficiency in Month End Close processes Demonstrated ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with Account Reconciliation is required Skilled in Bank Account Reconciliation Familiarity with Yardi is essential Proficiency in using Yardi Software is necessary Experience with Yardi Enterprise is a plus Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field Professional certification such as CPA is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
