Description We are inviting applications for the role of an Accounting Clerk based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role involves performing both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, and proficiency in QuickBooks is necessary. As an integral part of our accounting team, your role will be crucial in maintaining financial records and ensuring smooth operations.Responsibilities Handle full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Ensure timely processing and recording of invoices and payments Manage customer and vendor inquiries related to accounts payable and receivable Regularly maintain and update customer and vendor records Utilize QuickBooks software for various accounting tasks Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial processes Ensure compliance with standard accounting procedures Assist with month-end closing activities Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.Note: This role offers an exciting opportunity that has the potential to transition into a long-term contract employment opportunity. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management and reporting Extensive experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial regulations Excellent data entry skills with an eye for detail and accuracy Exceptional numerical skills and ability to handle large volumes of data Strong communication skills for liaising with colleagues and external stakeholders Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Experience in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
