For more information, please call Katie Ruger at 616-600-8734!Responsibilities: Establish, implement, and enforce general accounting policies and procedures Supervise the preparation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Direct the maintenance and review of general ledger balances, including the preparation of monthly account reconciliations Oversee the preparation of financial statements for business leaders and shareholders Analyze financial data, identify variances, and communicate root causes effectively Drive improvements in operations to increase the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and data Conduct or supervise financial audits for the company in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Participate in special projects and perform other accounting related duties as requested Provide support, supervision, training, and development for direct reports to promote problem-solving skills, efficiency, understanding, and professional growth Leverage proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and other skills to drive productivity, efficiency, and accuracy in accounting and finance functions.Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions is necessary Ability to Analyze Variance and Identify Variance is crucial Must have excellent communication and leadership skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary Must be a team player with the ability to work independently Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
