Analytics Developer (Data Science)

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Analytics Developer for an 11 month contractassignment with one of our premier Manufacturing clients in Farmington Hills, MI. 11 month contract w2 or corp permitted onsite work required (hybrid schedule) Intermediate Developer (Analytics) responsible to support both advanced analytics strategy and data visualizations solutions across all business areas. Will drive the exploration, analysis, development, execution, and measurement of analytical solutions. Will utilize proper tools to process financial data, like R, Python, or Excel, to prepare for upcoming data analysis or modeling exercises. Requires a broad knowledge of existing machine learning algorithms, a strong eye for business, and creativity to invent and customize when needed. Will be a key player in a multi-functional team that delivers insights that have direct and measurable impact. Job Deliverables

• Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes. Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data (10%)
• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns (20%)
• Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms (30%)
• Present information using data visualization techniques (10%)
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges (15%)
• Collaborate with internal and external teams (15%)

• Must have 3-5 years of relevant working experience of relevant working experience in data science role
• Practical experience conducting experiments on large datasets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. Must be able to explain complex statistical terms and results to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proficient with analytics tools and programming skills such as R, Python, Excel, and Tableau
• Experience in quantitative analysis including regression, classification, clustering, and time-series analyses
• Comfortable working with modern data technologies

• Expert in R, Python, Excel, and Tableau Visualization
• Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of relational database concepts
• Database DB2, Oracle, Vertica
