Job Title: Solution Consultant / Application Engineer: PLM

Location: Southfield, MI - hybrid (3 days in office Tues, Wed, Thurs)

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Note: Real world Siemens NX and Dassault Catia CAD experience with customer demonstration capabilities

Position OverviewThis position provides opportunities for a significant amount of customer engagement in support of strategic sales pursuits. Duties include, alignment of PLM tools, focusing primarily on CAD and PLM to address customer business issues and challenges. Demonstration of CAD and PLM tools to deliver against customer and industry defined technical requirements. Participation in customer benchmark activities, proof of concepts and customer enablement. Siemens and Dassault certified to demonstrate PLM software. Be able to provide customers with Application Engineering services such as training and “over-the-shoulder” support.

Responsibilities
  • Provides presales technical support for Dassault and Siemens software, leveraging a combination of application and domain expertise to a variety of customers in the Automotive market
  • Develops proof of concepts, demonstrations and executes benchmarks of the Dassault and Siemens Product portfolios
  • Assists in closing sales by demonstrating the value and benefits of PLM solutions
  • Trains and mentor’s customer technical leads and subject matter experts in the application of the software
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations and speaking at technical trade shows or conferences.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Degree or work experience with focus on CAD and PLM methods, preferably in automotive
  • Flexible and willing to learn new skills
  • Collaborative mindset to take personal ownership of team objectives and complete tasks independently to meet those objectives
  • An adaptive individual with a positive attitude and strong aptitude with the ability to multi-task and be proactive
  • Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills
  • Ability to work as an individual or as a team member
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Experience using one or more of the following: Siemens NX, Simcenter, Process Simulate, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE Enovia, Catia, Simulia, Delmia
  • Working knowledge of common design processes, objectives and constraints in Automotive Industry
  • Familiarity with PLM systems application, configuration and usage.
