Job Description:The Flowserve Mechanical Seal Order Engineering (OE) team is responsible for creating and supporting engineered technical solutions throughout the design, manufacturing, and testing processes of the product delivery cycle. To support these activities Flowserve is looking for an intern to perform some of the activities in this delivery cycle, support the Applied Seal Product Engineers and Designers and their activities and support smaller process and product improvement projects.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITES

Providing engineering and design support on all aspects of new seal orders, proposals, and special projects within the department.
Under supervision, create or revise bills of materials, basic assemblies, and part detail drawings using best practices for tolerances and GD&T.
Assist in the review of customer orders
Support manufacturing and product testing
Support departmental Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) efforts.
Assist in design standards, work instructions, and engineering directive improvement projects
The candidate should have good project management and organizational skills

REQUIREMENTS

Working towards a BS in Engineering Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree and within the final 2 years of achieving their degree
