Detroit Summer 2025 - Architectural Intern: Job Description About Buildings + Places: Our Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism and planning (inclusive of landscape design), strategy +, economics, technology solutions, asset advisory, and cost and program management.  This diverse team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, creating positive outcomes for those who inhabit and use the buildings and environments we help to create.  Our Detroit, Michigan studio focuses on the Commercial/Corporate, Transportation, Health Sciences, Higher Education, and Federal Market sectors. We look to combine beauty, sustainability, resiliency, equity, and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget. AECOM is seeking an Architectural Intern to be based in the Detroit, MI office.This position is expected to begin in June 2025.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Assist in the preparation of designs, quantity calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.Use computer software as a tool for solving basic architectural problems.Maintain conformance with building standards, established architecturalpractices, and applicable building codes.Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.Must be proficient in the latest architectural and graphic design software platforms.Utilize model-making skills when requested (3D printing and traditional methods).
