Job Title: Asphalt Division ManagerJob DescriptionAs an Asphalt Division Manager, you will lead, manage, and be accountable for the division and its team members. You will train and direct a team of 7-10 individuals daily to ensure work is performed efficiently and effectively. You will also be responsible for preparing and completing 30 and 90-day reviews for new hires and annual reviews for direct report team members. Effective communication with the Operations Manager, Sales Team, and direct report team members is crucial. You will ensure all equipment problems are communicated timely to the Fleet and Facility Manager, identify and solve problems for the division, and know when to seek assistance.Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and be accountable for the division and team members.
Train and direct team members daily to ensure efficient and effective performance.
Prepare for and complete 30 and 90-day reviews for new hires and annual reviews for direct report team members.
Communicate well with all team members, specifically the Operations Manager, Sales Team, and direct report team members.
Keep the Operations Manager informed.
Ensure all equipment problems are communicated to the Fleet and Facility Manager in a timely manner.
Identify and solve problems for the division, reaching out for assistance when necessary.
Oversee and perform quality control over the division’s accounts daily.
Purchase and secure all products and subcontractors needed for the division, including asphalt maintenance items such as crack-fill and line stripe.
Schedule crews and modify the schedule as needed due to contract changes, weather, etc.
Measure asphalt leads for Sales Team proposals and review all estimates.
Train team members in the field.
Essential Skills
Experience in construction and asphalt paving.
Proficiency in construction planning and project management.
Knowledge of road construction and supervision.
Skills in project planning and scheduling.
Experience in paving and DOT regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of the asphalt process and asphalt paving.
Experience in asphalt crew management and supervision.
CDL is a huge advantage.
Comfortable with Microsoft Office and technology.
