Description We are in the search for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team based in OTSEGO, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. This position involves working closely with our team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Responsibilities: Maintain and update accounting records and files Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses) Reconcile bank statements Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders Prepare documents for audits Advise clients on financial issues via email or phone Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations Report on company's financial status regularly and create ad-hoc reports when neededRequirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required. Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary. Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations efficiently. Capability to manage Bookkeeping tasks effectively. Proficiency in Data Entry is essential. Skills in Microsoft Excel are needed. Experience with QuickBooks software is a must.
