Job Summary

As a Business Analyst, you'll work on an agile development team and act as the liaison between the Technology team, business and internal clients, and our internal technology partners. You'll collaborate closely with our partners to identify and determine how new projects or demands can be completed using technology, and how our technologies teams can be used to best support and enhance our day-to-day processes.

In this role, you'll create clear, understandable requirements and recommendations to solutions that the Technology teams will use to create systems and tools to meet the needs of their clients. You'll also create recommendations and functional specifications and tests changes.

You'll be an extension and representative of your agile team. To be successful, you'll need to be comfortable with uncertainty, walking into new projects with little or no context, and be able to come out with a clear understanding of business and technical requirements. In those situations, you'll pass on to your team members and in some cases execute the non-engineering changes. You need to be able to lead at least one major and/or a few of the team's minor projects, while reporting out and helping your team's Leader and Product Owner.

Responsibilities
  • Represent their agile team in new or running projects with little or no context at the onset and gather that context.
  • Work with specific team(s) and internal clients to determine their technology needs
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders and business/technology partners, such as Business Consultants, business team members, Engineers, Architects and Quality Assurance Specialists, to deliver quality technology solutions
  • Work inside one primary application and other supporting applications
  • Write and articulate requirements
  • Write use cases or technical specifications for features and/or changes
  • Define and document test conditions/acceptance criteria
  • Develop accurate and complete test plans
  • Test implemented changes for bugs and accuracy to the clients' requirements
  • Track and provide communication to business or technology partners about project updates/status, and production issues/resolution
  • Analyze how the request impacts other systems and business processes
  • Support teams' other documentation needs or initiatives
