Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Call Representative in the service industry, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Call Representative, you will be the crucial point of contact, handling high volumes of inbound and outbound calls, efficiently coordinating transportation logistics, and addressing customer inquiries promptly.Responsibilities: Efficiently address and resolve customer inquiries, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders. Coordinate and dispatch transportation routes, adapting quickly to changes in schedules or unexpected events. Handle a high volume of incoming calls from parents, school staff, and drivers, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally. Collaborate closely with administrators and transportation staff to coordinate transportation logistics, including special accommodations for students with unique needs. Maintain accurate records of communication, incidents, and resolutions, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance with departmental protocols. Cultivate positive relationships with parents and students, fostering trust and confidence in the transportation department's services. Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills to address route changes, delays, and other unforeseen circumstances, minimizing disruptions to transportation services. Utilize computerized systems to track routes, update schedules, and communicate with drivers. Proactively identify and resolve issues, employing effective de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations with diplomacy and empathy. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance customer service skills, transportation knowledge, and proficiency with dispatching systems. Requirements Must possess a minimum of one-year experience in a call representative role or similar customer service position Proficiency in managing both inbound and outbound calls is required Strong customer service skills and ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively and professionally Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on active listening and establishing rapport with customers Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively Familiarity with CRM systems and practices is a plus High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a related discipline would be considered an advantage Proficiency in English language, both spoken and written, is necessary Willingness to work in different shifts, including weekends, if required Proven track record of achieving call handling quotas.
