Civil Engineering Stormwater Intern

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Stormwater Intern to be based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

This internship will support the transportation drainage group by inspecting MDOT's stormwater management and treatment infrastructure. Work is expected to be approximately 50/50 split between field work and office work. All field work will be performed with a partner engineer, and may involve observing, measuring, and photographing the condition of stormwater infrastructure such as detention basins, ditches, and storm sewer outlets. Field work may involve overnight travel within Michigan. Office work can be performed from the Grand Rapids or Traverse City office.This position is expected to begin in May 2027.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of studyIntern 1 – completion of first year of qualified study
