CNC Machinist Lead

Job Title: CNC Machinist LeadJob DescriptionCNC Lathe/Mill Set-Up/Machinist opening1st shift: 6am to 4:30pm Monday - Thursday, overtime 8 hours on Friday when needed2nd shift: 4:30pm to 3am Monday - Thursday, occasional Friday 8 hour shiftWe are looking for CNC Set Up/Edit candidates with experience to operate, set up, and perform program editing. You will be machining various materials, from plastics to metals.Currently, there are 5 Machinists on 2nd shift, with plans to add 5 more in the next 12 months. The facility has 8 CNC Machines with support and secondary operations required on work. This includes 4 Haas mills and 4 Haas lathes, 2 and 3 axis machining now, with plans to upgrade to 4 and 5 axis in the future. Additionally, there is 1 CNC Router and 2 Panel Saws/Shapers.Your responsibilities will include downloading programs to machines, getting tooling, setting up fixtures, performing dry runs of programs, and making necessary edits after the first piece.Hard Skills

The company is in the start-up phase at the Auburn Hills location but has a long-standing machine shop in Georgia. The Director of Manufacturing is traveling back and forth between these locations.
