Description ControllerOur food and beverage client, located in Dearborn, MI, is looking for an experienced Controller to join their team on an interim basis. The ideal candidate has a Cost Accounting background, is comfortable working in NetSuite and has experience in a start-up organization. This is a possible contract-to-hire opportunity!The day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Establish the opening balance sheet, reconcile current period activities and create a month end process.
Develop a timely process around monthly financial statements along with management reporting.
Create standardized processes and procedures.
Establish processes and drive efficiencies within the newly implemented ERP system.
Oversee accounting staff and provide technical accounting guidance to the business leadership team.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skill sets:
Proficiency using NetSuite software
Prior experience in Start-Ups is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
