DTS is looking for experienced Datastage Admin for a Direct Client position based in Detroit, MI/Charlotte, NC. Candidate interested in either location should apply.

Position DescriptionServe as Lead Operations Engineer Team member to support in the day-to-day operation of ETL platforms.Serve as technical lead to provide leadership in the support enterprise integration service platform serving various Business Units. The Architect will serve as Subject matter expert in the ETL products used by Application and assist in performance troubleshooting, Incident, Problem, Capacity and Change management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Installation, Configuration and overall management of large enterprise ETL Platforms.
  • Participate in defect triage and work with project team/vendors to resolve prioritized defect fixes. Identify repeating patterns and opportunities for automation.
  • Manage and support Change/Release management for Application. Review/approve Change Requests. Implement and Support Change/Release activities for Applications. Identify repeating patterns and opportunities for automation.
  • Participate in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy

Qualifications
  • BS and 7+ years in a technical role or equivalent
  • Very strong experience with various ETL Technologies, IBM Infosphere
  • Proven track record of implementing highly complex systems
  • Working knowledge of application server, IBM WebSphere.
  • Experience Linux administration
  • Experience in deep dive troubleshooting in a 24/7 production environment utilizing tools like Splunk and AppDynamics
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Analytical approach; strong problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong load-balancing, DNS, storage and networking expertise
  • Knowledge of software configuration, source control, and build engineering, scripting and system administration is required.
