#1581 Desktop / LAN Support Technician Job DescriptionResponsible for providing IT support by troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware, and connectivity problems by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities
  • Provides helpdesk support for internal users; applies diagnostic techniques to identify common problems, investigates causes and recommends solutions.
  • Analyzes and corrects problems using documented procedures, available tools, and personal knowledge and skills.
  • Isolates performance issues to determine cause of hardware malfunctions, such as hard drives, printers, and cables.
  • Participates in the installation, configuration and upgrade of computer hardware and software.
  • Responsible for imaging new pcs and unexpected break fixes.
  • Project lead for 5-year PC replacements – organizes entire project including deployment plan
  • Subject matter expert regarding all onsite point of sale computers and required hardware – barcode scanners/printers, signature pads, driver’s license scanners etc.
  • Responsible for Asset Tagging system as well as organizing and tracking inventory stock levels.
  • Works closely with Service Desk manager to schedule onsite visits to address issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
  • Ability to prioritize project work, service desk tickets and tasks while providing daily updates to team members and IT management.
  • Utilize ticketing system to document calls taken, work performed and is proactive about updating team knowledge base.
  • Brainstorms with IT members to resolve more complex problems and escalates difficult issues to Team
  • Lead for more technical assistance and escalates to Level 3 when required.
  • Interfaces and communicates clearly with department peers, internal employees, and external partners to escalate problems as needed and resolve issues.
  • Participates in creation and maintenance of IT standards and procedures.
  • Tests and deploys new software and procedures, installation, conversion, and upgrade activities.
  • Requires site visits to company locations with PPE. Position is in the office 100%.
  • Requires a selfstarter with excellent communication. Positive attitude and upbeat skills are critical for this customer service role.

Requirements
  • Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from twoyear College or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
