Job Description

The Fuel Cell Balance of Plant development engineer should be a motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills. Additionally, the engineer should work well in a team, be highly detail oriented, and ambitious to work in a new and expanding development group. An analytic and problem-solving mindset are also key. The Fuel Cell Balance of Plant (BoP) Component Engineer will help lead the local development efforts of BoP components, interface with customers, and work to build new customer relationships. BoP components include: Electric Air Compressor (EAC), Hydrogen Gas Injector (HGI), Anode recirculation blower (ARB), and DC/DC converter.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work directly with customer to achieve component implementation and satisfaction while providing technical information and support

· Window-person between customer and component platform development groups for BoP components

· Acquire broad component knowledge to enable technical discussion of components

· Ensure customer component application is within specified component limits

· Support setup and operation of BoP on local test benches

· Lead problem solving and root cause discussions with the customer

· Support design team regarding know-how of customer operation and requirements

· Ensure customer specific adaptions to platform components doesn't negatively impact component performance

Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as required

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering

· 1 or more years of experience in a relevant engineering role (internships, co-op, or academic engineering experience accepted)

Preferred Qualifications:

· Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision

· Continuous improvement mindset

· Adaptable to new environment and tasks

· Excellent data analysis and presentation skills

Hands-on mentality and experience
