We want you to bring your talent & skills to positively impact the health of our residents. Position Overview:Prepares dietary information for use by kitchen personnel in preparation of foods for residents. Collects orders and information to understand resident needs and monitor the quality and accuracy of food served to residents. Supports the functionality of the department by providing clerical support including processing resident orders, tracking food service production tallies, and maintaining inventory. Gains confidence and cooperation from the resident, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent resident assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal care. Skills and Knowledge:Knowledge of therapeutic and modified diet ordersPossess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), electronic health records (EHR).Interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.Compile with regulatory standards – both Federal and State and accrediting agencies adhering to confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, residents’ right policies and CMS regulations
