Description The Director of Financial Reporting and Accounting for our company plays a crucial role in shaping our financial future. This position is responsible for overseeing the company's financial status by preparing and analyzing relevant financial data, producing accurate financial reports, as well as monitoring accounting procedures.Responsibilities:
Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and in line with regulatory requirements
Partner with Executive OEM’s on various financial reports, analysis and insights.
Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all accounting systems, databases, and financial software
Provide oversight and direction to the Monthly End Close process
Develop, implement, and maintain financial and accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
Collaborate with QAD for efficient and effective information management
Manage company funds, bank negotiations and strategic investments
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure adherence to standards
Work closely with other leadership team members on strategic planning initiatives
Monitor internal controls and update as necessary to ensure the integrity of financial information.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree and CPA preferred
At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing sector
Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
Strong leadership and team management skills
Proficiency in accounting and business software, especially QAD
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Comprehensive understanding and experience with Accounting Functions Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in conducting Auditing processes Knowledge of Budget Processes and their implementation Ability to manage Month End Close procedures Expertise in Financial Reporting, including Annual Financial Reporting Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a managerial role in the manufacturing industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is desirable Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
