ER Nurse

• 3p-3a with ability to flex to 7p-7a with advanced notice if needed
• 14-Bed ER
• 1:4-5 patients
• Hunter green and white scrubs
• Beautiful South Haven located on the shores of Lake Michigan

myRNStaffing Solutions is assisting our client in South Haven, Michigan, to hire a hardworking, compassionate and caring Registered Nurse. This job is a 3 or 6-month assignment working 12-hour nights in the Emergency Room. The ideal ER nurse will be quick-thinking and have graduated from an accredited nursing program. 2 years experience required. Level I trauma center preferred.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse

• Responsible for maintaining care standards in the emergency room
• Assist with checking in patients, doing triage work for doctors and generating initial insurance paperwork
• Work closely with doctors to keep patients and their family members updated on test results or treatment recommendations
• Maintain contact with laboratory personnel to report any initial lab findings back to the ER doctors
• Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Requirements/Certifications

• 1-2 yrs recent experience working in the ER Level I trauma center preferred
• Pyxis, EPIC charting highly preferred
• American Heart BCLS, ACLS and ENPC required
• Michigan State registered nurse license required
