ER Nurse

Battle Creek, Michigan

Currently looking for a compassionate and caring Registered Nurse to fill a 3 or 6-month assignment in Battle Creek, Michigan. This registered nurse opportunity is working 12 hour nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

No call required. Will work every other weekend. Ideal candidates will have experience with Level I trauma center preferred. Nurse to patient ratio 4-5 to 1 RN. Bed size 36.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining care standards in the emergency room
• Assist with checking in patients, doing triage work for doctors and generating initial insurance paperwork
• Work closely with doctors to keep patients and their family members updated on test results or treatment recommendations
• Maintain contact with laboratory personnel to report any initial lab findings back to the ER doctors
• Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: EPIC, Pyxis, clinical collect, Glucostabilizer, glucometers, vocera

Requirements:

• BLS (AHA)
• 2 years of ER experience
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Michigan RN License
• Level 1 Trauma Experience
