ResponsibilitiesThis position plays a pivotal role in the department's success. It is responsible for downloading and analyzing numerous reports and data relating to faculty activity, including collections, visits, surgery counts, and relative value units (RVUs) for faculty performance management and compensation administration. The Financial Specialist will partner with financial and department leadership to identify trends and insights toward achieving strategic goals, making their contribution invaluable. Additional duties include processing incentive payments, calculating faculty targets and updating efforts and department budget earning (DBEs), reconciling accounts, other data analytics, journal entries, problem-solving, and assisting with the annual budget.Required Qualifications
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft software applications, specifically Excel
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Thrives independently or in a team environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new skills and technology and adjust to evolving workflows
Senior Level
Bachelor's degree with 3-5 of professional experience related to finance, accounting, or budgeting
Intermediate Level
Bachelor's degree with 2-3 of professional experience related to finance, accounting, or budgeting
Desired Qualifications
Three to five years of professional financial experience
Extensive understanding of math and accounting
Knowledge of university financial software and standard database reporting tools, such as MPathways (PeopleSoft), Finance BI, and Business Objects
