THE POSITION

This role is responsible for leading the global business development team with Business Area User Experience, Segment 5. The Head of Business Development is responsible to define and execute global strategy incl. full product, market and innovation strategy, as well as leading the execution of worldwide market positioning, customer Acquisition & QuotesFurthermore this role is responsible for coordinating the Sales & Account Management teams in multiple regions to ensure consistent, long-term business growth, rapid resolution of commercial issues, and a good customer relationship. The Head of Business Development represents the Customer Center during internal Sales & Portfolio activities and sees that relevant information from that department is distributed to the regional Sales & Account Management organizationStrategy & Business Planning▪ Drive overall strategy incl. full product, market and innovation strategy

▪ Define and execute Business Plan and drive active alignmentLeadership▪ Organizational and personnel development

▪ Talent Management (incl. Identification and development of potential)

▪ Performance management + coaching & mentoring of direct reports

▪ Excellent knowledge in agile methods/practices and lean agile mindset, strives for relevant improvement, act as a coach and mentor on organizational levelProduct Portfolio▪ Understand the whole business and consolidate market, customer, function and technology topics to propose the right solutions, strategy and provide basis for profitable sale and highest customer satisfaction

▪ Drive strategy process and steer direction, alignment and continuous improvement of portfolio and technology roadmapsMarketing▪ Responsible for the Marketing Positioning for maximum impact towards targeted customers and respective buying centersQuote & Acquisition▪ Responsible/Lead for the global customer acquisitions & quotes

▪ Drive common decision making with relevant stakeholder Budget▪ Budget management:  Acquisition- and Quote Budget 

▪ Track and drive budget adherence and define/implement cost efficiency opportunities

▪ Forecast and plan resource / budget requirements for current and future Innovation, Acquisition & Quotes

Partnership-Management & Lobby organizations

▪ Responsible to identify and execute strategic Partnerships to enable successful business

▪ Influencing and monitoring all relevant regulations and standards (e.g. Rep in external regulation & government relations)

Business Development

▪ Identify new market opportunities and define and implement new business models across lifecycle

▪ Seek new technical or cooperative development capabilities and business opportunities

▪ Suggest and lead Business Partnerships to fill white spots Other▪ Claim Negotiations and Price adjustments (LiFT)
