HPC Optimization Application Specialist

Optimization methods to improve vehicle performance characteristics are in greater use as Chrysler increases the use of virtual analysis. Engineering has requested addition support personnel to promote the efficient use of the HPC systems and to facilitate the use of virtual analysis in new ways.Business Owner Requirements:

• The Objectives of the project include:
• Develop improved methods to support Multi-Disciplinary Optimization (MDO) analysis of vehicle and powertrain systems.
• Improve the automation of preparing and executing virtual analysis studies on the Chrysler / Fiat HPC systems.
• Work with engineers and analysts to establish and document virtual analysis best practices.

• New version roll-out of virtual analysis applications including planning, quality assurance testing, training and deployment
• Update scripts as required to adapt to new HPC Linux technical workstation and HPC servers
• Develop improved methods and scripts to automate the processes involved
• Help users migrate to new versions of applications

• Bachelors or master's degree in mechanical or related engineering field.
• 3-5 years' experience in supporting installation, testing, and supporting CAE/CFD simulations on High Performance Compute clusters.
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting and programming languages such as C, C & Python as well as Windows operating system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
